I met Dr. Alaia in July of 2021 after being referred to his office in New Hyde Park. My first appointment with him he went over my MRI and the severity of my knee injury (PCL tear, meniscus) and laid out my options.
He explained both non surgical and surgical avenues that we could take and the likely outcome of each. Not only did he have a level of confidence in the surgical procedure, but he also had confidence in me that I would return to my active sports lifestyle being 29 years old and extremely active. The decision to have surgery was an easy one and the procedure I had done (PCL recon w/ cadaver, Meniscus allograft Transplant) went as smooth as possible. He checked in on me everyday
after the surgery by texts and calls to ensure I was healing well.
I am forever grateful for Dr. Alaia, his PA Andre, and Dr. Eric Strauss who was also in the case. I am almost at 4 months post op- I officially returned to work yesterday and am healing faster than I could have anticipated. None of this would have been possible without Dr. Alaia!
